About us
A personal collection that grew into a shop
Welcome to 1970s Retro Geek, your destination for authentic vintage and retro furniture, lighting and accessories from the mid-century era. We source and restore exceptional pieces that bring character and history to your home or office.
Our story
From hobby to mission
1970s Retro Geek began as a personal collection that grew into a curated selection of mid-century treasures. What started as a hobby quickly became a mission: to share these timeless designs with people who appreciate their history and enduring appeal.
Our collection is intentionally small but always changing — Danish teak sideboards, G-Plan tables, vintage chairs and lighting. Some pieces are by iconic designers; others are hidden gems waiting to be rediscovered.
What we believe
Our philosophy
We believe in authentic vintage pieces — not just for how they look, but for their craftsmanship, durability and the stories they carry.
Quality & authenticity
Every piece is thoroughly assessed and, where needed, sympathetically restored to keep its original character while making it ready for a new home.
Honest descriptions
Each listing gives detailed information about the item’s condition, origin, measurements and any restoration work carried out.
